Looking to work on London Underground-managed infrastructure? Our LU Worksite Safety and Security Induction (LU-WSSI) course provides essential entry-level training for workers carrying out non-track activities on behalf of TfL.

The course includes:

1-day training
London Underground medical
Worksite Safety and Security Induction
Essential London Underground safety awareness
Understanding of safe working practices on LU-managed sites
What Does LU-WSSI Allow You to Do?

Holding the LU-WSSI competence allows you to access London Underground sites and carry out roles that do not involve interfering with railway infrastructure, including:

General labour
Cleaning
Vegetation and environmental work
Other non-track-related duties

Please note: LU-WSSI does not authorise you to touch or interfere with railway infrastructure. Those carrying out track engineering or maintenance work will require the appropriate Basic Track Awareness (BTA) training for London Underground and/or Track Induction for Network Rail.

Competence Validity

The LU-WSSI competence is valid for 6 years. After this period, you will need to complete the required E-learning and re-certification assessment.
