Is the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety the Right Qualification for Me?
The National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety is designed for supervisors and managers within the construction industry and is designed to provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables them to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in construction activities. Achieving this qualification could also be your first step towards a long-term career in the field of occupational health and safety within construction or other industries. Quite a few people who chose this course of study decide to progress to the NEBOSH Diploma or other advanced qualification in health and safety. You will not require any previous qualifications in health and safety, but you will need a good understanding of the construction industry and practice before you commence this level of study.
During the course you will gain a broad understanding of health and safety developing your knowledge and skills to manage day to day construction activities in a safe and effective manner. The course will be challenging and intense and will require you to devote a significant amount of your spare time to study. Over the period of the course you must be able to dedicate a minimum of 60 hours of self-study.
