The CPCS A40 course aims to provide the candidate with comprehensive practical and theoretical training in operating as a Slinger / Signaller, enabling the candidate to pass the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests.
Slinger courses are also known as "slinger banksman courses"; in the context of this specific qualification, the banksman element refers to being in charge of the movements of plant machinery such as a tower crane from the point of loading and unloading using safe communication systems with the crane driver.
Please see our CPCS (A73) Training Course if you are involved in traffic or vehicle marshalling operations and want to take a vehicle banksman course. Vehicle banksman courses (in that context) train those who coordinate the movements of vehicles and/or workplace transportation and oversee operations that, if not performed correctly, can result in injuries or damage. Slinger banksman courses and vehicle banksman courses provide two very different qualifications that must not be confused.
